We are currently looking for a talented IT Systems Technician.
As an Aquila IT Systems Technician you will enjoy a varied daily workload which
will include building, repairing and servicing Windows based PCs. There will be
an element of field service work which will include visits to both home users and
small businesses to carry out repairs and maintenance. There will also be an opportunity
for network, server and VoIP telephony work further down the line for the right
candidate.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years industry related experience in building /
servicing Microsoft Windows based PCs. Experience of Microsoft Windows Servers would
be advantageous but is not essential. A computer related qualification i.e. MCP,
A+ or higher will be advantageous, and you must possess a full UK driving license.
The candidates' knowledge of the Microsoft Windows family of desktop operating systems
must extend down to registry level with the ability to manually remove viruses and
spyware at a file by file level if required. An excellent understanding of current
(and predicted) hardware is required and the candidate should have experience with
ADSL and WiFi.
This role will be customer facing, therefore excellent inter-personal skills will
be required.

IT Systems Engineer - Vacancy Closed
IT Systems Engineer required to join us in our busy Portland computer labs.
Your job will involve building, installing & repairing computer systems ranging
from home user PCs to multi server business networks. You will need to be highly
proficient in repairing Windows based computers down to the registry level, and
also able to carry out manual virus and malware removal even when all of the usual
tools have failed. Ability to quickly and accurately troubleshoot network problems
will be advantageous.
The job will also entail site visits to our business & home clients, so good communication

We have a full time vacancy for a .NET programmer.
Based at our computer labs on Portland in Dorset you must be a capable .NET programmer
with experience of VB.NET and Microsoft SQL (2000 or later). Preferably with ASP.NET
experience and a passion for developing top class Windows based and Web based applications.
The workload for the successful candidate will involve a mix of Windows and Web
based application development, along with a certain amount of SQL development. Design
experience is desirable but not essential. You will be working on our own flagship
business database application, as well as .NET web sites for our growing base of
website clients. There may also be an opportunity for involvement in development
of other genres of application subject to our clients demands.
